Give A Book

Give A Book is a charity that supports books and reading in the hardest places to reach.  Their core belief is that to pass on a good read – to give a book – is a transaction of lasting worth.  CAT supports them in the work they do running BookClubs in 121 prisons around the UK.

The Almeida

CAT supported their recent award-winning and highly-acclaimed production of The Years.

The London Library

The London Library was founded in 1841, at a time when London had no lending libraries and state-funded libraries did not yet exist. Today, it stands as one of the world’s foremost literary institutions. CAT supports its Emerging Writers Programme.

The National Poetry Centre

The National Poetry Centre is the flagship project of the Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage. It will be based in Leeds and offer a home to poetry in the UK of international significance. CAT is supporting the Junior Poet Laureate Programme.

The Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award

The Sunday Times Young Writer Award was established in 1991 and is one of the UK’s most prestigious literary prizes. Since 2022, CAT has been the main sponsor.

The Women’s Prize (Non-Fiction Award)
