Application Guidelines
Please note: We only accept applications from registered uk charities and those operating in the area of literature, literacy and the creative arts. We cannot support individuals and are unlikely to support a charity without a track record, or with large unrestricted reserves.
Before submitting an application please email info@charlotteaitkentrust.org to outline your request.
If you are then invited to apply for a grant please follow the guidelines below:
- Applications should be no more than 4 pages of A4 and using a typeface no smaller than 12 point. If you can make it shorter please do. A concise application is appreciated.
- Open your application with clear details around the funds applied for — the sum of money requested, over what period and any preferred schedule of payments.
- The request for funding should then be backed up by a brief but clear overview of your organisation and its purpose, including reassurances of your good governance, leadership and financial security.
- This should be followed an outline of the specific goals related to the funding requested — who the main beneficiaries of the funding are, your aims in supporting them and any relevant information you may have that demonstrates the impact and efficacy.
