We will be open again for another funding round from 1st to 31st October 2026.
Applications should be for grants of no more than £30,000 and strictly related to CAT’s underlying mission to educate the public in the appreciation of literature. We are proud of the fact that many of our partnerships have social impact but we only accept applications from organisations whose core purpose is in the support of literature and literacy. Organisations whose primary objectives are focussed on social reform or with a specific religious or political goal are not eligible and will not receive a reply.
Due to current and on-going commitments, we are unable to consider any further applications from the theatrical industry, literary festivals, libraries, individual schools, writing courses or major capital projects.
We do not accept applications from individuals, independent publishers, or literary magazines.
Any applications received outside our advertised funding round dates or that are from organisations that do not share our primary objectives as listed above will not be considered.
No more than six applications will go forward to be considered by the trustees at our Winter Board Meeting. If your request to apply is successful you will receive a reply with application guidelines and relevant dates.
